When a law that was supposed to reduce drug use and drug harm has failed to achieve either after 45 years, we need to acknowledge it’s not fit for purpose.
In my work in harm reduction I see more damage caused by bad law than by bad drugs, and I ask – how many people have to die before we do something to fix this?
Enough is enough.
