If my children choose to experiment with cannabis when they are older, I don’t want them to have to put themselves in the same dangerous situations that I did as a young adult. Tightly regulated legal sales of cannabis will reduce their access to it, take the revenue away from organised crime and fund better education and treatment for addiction.
All the evidence clearly shows that a tightly regulated, legal market is the way to reduce the most harm to society in terms of social and health costs.
