When I was young I experimented with drugs, as did many of my friends. I grew up, I decided to have a family, and I moved on. It was easy for me, because I had a stable upbringing, and I carried no trauma. At the time I had no appreciation of how lucky I was. Some of my friends and whānau were not so lucky. And others will follow them - children, friends, loved ones. Unless we choose to go against the flow, and change this ineffective law.
